Re-Homed Artwork
I received a call mid-march from Heidi Schneider owner of La Petite Boutique, a downtown St. Cloud shop located in the Regency Plaza building. She invited me to display during the March 24th St. Cloud Art Crawl and I gladly accepted!
The Regency Plaza building is located directly across the street from the Paramount Theater and La Petite’s storefront faces an art gallery across the corridor. The location was fantastic and allowed me to set up a larger display. The store owner was a thoughtful, fantastic host who even purchased one of my paintings! It was the first time I was able to actually display a grouping of paintings rather than a few here and there. During the event I sold 6 paintings and in the days that followed 2 more paintings sold to customers who picked up my business card.
It was fun to answer questions and discuss my work with art lovers but with any successful event it also meant that I parted with some paintings that I treasured. The benefit of making the sales in person rather than online was knowing that the new owners of my artwork, treasured my paintings as much as I did.
Below are photos from the March 24th Art Crawl and also a photo of the painting Chalk Cat displayed with its new owner.
Man in the Moon

I started this painting ages ago but was never happy with it. I picked it back up a couple days ago and finally finished it. My grandchildren would be thrilled with the amount of finger painting that went into the final edits. Its title is Man in the Moon because in creating the moon I accidentally ended up with a face…which I decided to keep.
This work was made possible by a grant from the Five Wings Art Council with funds from the McKnight Foundation.
*SOLD* Petite Pear Paintings
Last year I tried painting on these small 4×4 canvas, most didn’t turn out and I ended up scraping the paint off. While at home on my “staycation” yesterday during a closet cleaning stint I found a box with the scraped canvas’. When I finished reassembling the closet I sat down to try it again a full year later. Loved every minute.

SOLD- Royalton Grain Elevator

I love old abandoned buildings. This one is in Royalton, Minnesota, a city I lived in for 7 years. After I started painting I photographed it knowing one day I would use it as the subject but I was stumped as to its execution. I didn’t want to do a traditional landscape. I decided to play with the scale of the building contrasted by the scale of the canvas to make it feel modern.
This painting is 36x12x 1, gallery canvas. The work has been protected with high gloss varnish. Edges are finished and hardware is installed for easy use. All paintings come with a certificate of authenticity.
