Played with acrylics this afternoon and fell in love with these! They’re too wet to photograph as a whole but I wanted to post a portion of one of the panels. There are two panels and they’re both amazing. More to come.

Playing with Images
Since I returned home from Duluth I’ve spent a considerable amount of time editing the photos I brought back with me. I took pictures of somewhat odd object that I felt drawn to and I’m glad I did. I love them as tonal framed artwork but they also look amazing when converted to fabric on throw pillows. The physical objects are almost indistinguishable among the more pronounced shapes and lines. The very antique settings in the photographs are transformed to images that appear very modern.
Lighthouse Beacon Photos
While visiting Split Rock Lighthouse I took several photos of the lighthouse beacon which was rotating in the upper most area of the tower. The beacon was casting a transparent shade of phthalo green and I thought it was beautiful. I finished editing 2 of the photos and paired them together as artwork in a bedroom. I’m totally smitten..
